Miguel Poiares Maduro is a Portuguese scholar and politician. He was Portugal's Minister for Regional Development from April 2013 until October 2015. Previously, he had been the Director of the Global Governance Program and professor of Law at the European University Institute in Florence, Italy. Poiares Maduro is also a regular Visiting Professor at the Yale Law School, in the United States.
