This Privacy Policy describes our policies and procedures on the collection and use of your information, and how you can update, manage and erase your personal data.

The data collected on the greenfest.pt website (hereinafter the “Website”) are handled by Empowering People – Associação para o Desenvolvimento Sustentável, a legal entity with tax identification number 514966378, based in Ponte de Lima, Portugal.

The processing of personal data carried out is in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of 27 April 2016 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data, and repealing Directive 95/46/EC (General Data Protection Regulation) and with Law No. 58/2019, of 8 August, which ensures the implementation in Portugal of Regulation (EU) 2016/679.

Collecting and Using Your Personal Data

Personal data collected on this website are treated as follows:

Newsletter:

Data collected: Name and email.

Treatment: The data collected for the purpose of subscribing to the Greenfest Newsletter is automatically processed by the software INBOX.

Consent: The information sent through the Newsletter is only that which the user chooses to receive when providing his/her data. After subscribing, an opt-in email is sent, which is considered to be express consent by the user to receive the Newsletter. The data provided will not be entered into another database unless the user expressly consents to it.

Participation form (for individual or company application):

In order to collect information relevant to the applications of participants (Partners, Sponsors and Exhibitors) and volunteers, Greenfest provides a form for you to fill in essential data, so that we can process applications.

Data requested: Person’s name, company name, email, phone, LinkedIn profile and/or
other links the participant or volunteer considers relevant.

Treatment: The data entered in the form will be automatically processed through the Airtable software, which will securely archive the data, using 256-bit SSL/TLS encryption. All subsequent treatment will be done manually.

Legal basis: The processing of the collected data is lawful insofar as it is necessary for the execution of pre-contractual proceedings at the request of the data subject.

Hopin registration (registering for Greenfest events):

Registering for Greenfest events is done through an external link to our supplier Hopin, which will ask for your first name and email in order to handle your registration.

This Privacy Policy does not apply to third party websites, so make sure you read their privacy policy.

Comments

The User may comment on the Website’s Blog. The User’s name and email are required so that it is possible for the User to receive notifications about responses to their comment. The data is automatically processed by the WordPress platform.

Legal notice: The decision to approve the User’s comment is entirely at the discretion of the controller.

The Webstite uses, with the prior consent of the User, cookies that allow to improve the performance and browsing experience of the User.

Rights of the data subject

Requests for erasure, rectifcation and/or transfer of personal data can be sent to info@greenfest.pt.

The data subject is entitled to:

– Request access to his or her data, according to Art. 15 of the GDPR
– Request rectification of inaccurate, incomplete or outdated information, according to Art. 16 of the GDPR
– Request the erasure of his or her data, in the situations provided for in Art. 17 of the GDPR
– Request the restriction of processing of his or her data, in the situations legally provided for (Art. 18 of the GDPR)
– Request the portability of his or her data, in the situations provided for in Art. 20 of the GDPR

The data subject also has the right to withdraw his or her consent. The data subject has the right to lodge a complaint with with the supervisory authority.

Personal data breach

In accordance with Article 34 of the GDPR, when the personal data breach is likely to result in a high risk to the rights and freedoms of natural persons, we shall communicate the personal data breach to the data subject without undue delay.

Personal data retention

Data will not be kept any longer than it is necessary to comply with any legal obligations, and taking into account the purposes for which they were collected.

Changes to this Privacy Policy

We change this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will not reduce your rights under this Privacy Policy without your explicit consent. We always indicate the date the last changes were published and we offer access to archived versions for your review. If changes are significant, we’ll provide a more prominent notice (including email notification of Privacy Policy changes).
